Recovery Support Solutions
Every recovery journey is unique. Old Dominion Recovery's services are designed to remove the daily barriers that can stand in the way of progress -- offering structure, accountability, and practical help so you can focus on building a healthier, more connected life.
Accountability & Integrity Support
There can be no accountability without a consistent standard for which to measure against. Together, we'll not just develop accountability, but we can examine the values and core beliefs that made alcohol and other drugs attractive in the first place. We can start this work from scratch or pickup where your treatment or aftercare left off.
For Courts & Employers
It's important to plan for a successful recovery, but don't plan the outcome. As a Subject Matter Expert on Substance Use Recovery, I'm happy to provide professional testimony and education when requested for courts or employers.
For Family & Loved Ones
The disease is especially hard on those closest to us, and you may want a recovery liaison to explain things to family in a compassionate and understanding way that doesn't betray your dignity -- especially in early recovery.
Mobile Recovery Support
I can meet you where you're at -- literally (services are limited to Loudoun County and mutually agreed upon areas). We can meet for coaching in a public place, like a coffee shop, or someplace more scenic, like a favorite park.
Your Home Is A Sanctuary For Your Recovery
I'm happy to provide coaching services in the home and see if there's anything there that could be an impediment to your recovery. This would include Oxford, VARR certified, or non-recovery residence homes.
Meeting Makers Make Meetings
I have no qualms about attending a 12-step meeting together to see where I might be able to bridge the gaps between attending 12-step meetings and actually engaging in a lifestyle of recovery. Again, my role is to meet you where you're at.
Other Misc. Supports
Personal grocery shopper service covered in the cost of coaching (multi-person household coaching discount, frequency, and other exceptions and situations may apply).
Group Work, Training, and Recovery Education
If you're in a household where multiple people are receiving my services, I'm more than happy working with groups of people and not just in individual coaching sessions. Topics can include anything from fun in recovery to serious work on boundaries and healthy expectations of others.
Services For Treatment Professionals
If you own or operate an inpatient, outpatient, or other type of professional substance use recovery service and would like to contract for any of the above services, please contact me.
Every Step of the Way
Old Dominion Recovery is built on a personal commitment to your growth and well-being. Your care is guided by your needs, not outside limitations -- offering steady, compassionate support from someone who truly understands the journey.
Old Dominion Recovery Isn't Beholden To Restrictive Insurance Policies -- Just To You
Because I operate independently of insurance companies, I'm able to focus entirely on what works best for your recovery -- without being limited by red tape.
Your Care Is Guided By Your Needs -- Not By What A Third Party Allows
My approach is personal and responsive, shaped by your goals and your journey -- not by someone else's approval process.
At The Heart Of Old Dominion Recovery Is A Commitment To Love And Serve Others
This work is deeply personal to me. I'm here to walk with you, offer support without judgment, and help you move forward with purpose and hope.

No. Old Dominion Recovery, LLC has moved away from recovery residences as a part of it's business model since June 30th, 2025 to focus exclusively on coaching.

Absolutely! Whatever resources or knowledge I have at my disposal to point you in the right direction for your journey are available pro-bono. There's SMART recovery, Dharma/Refuge Recovery, Freedom Model, and so on. If you decide you do want to pursue 12-step supports, I'll be happy to go the distance with you. I personally chose to focus on 12-step recovery with my coaching model because the largest number of people seeking recovery are going to be requesting or familiar with 12-step based supports. In the organic recovery community the largest available support doesn't come from a government agency, a private treatment or recovery outfit, a pharmaceutical company, or even from the dozens of non-12-step mutual-aid support groups -- it comes from the thousands of 12-step meetings that occur every week in the DC area, including Loudoun County, where Old Dominion Recovery serves.

I get why people might think that, but I don’t see it that way at all. If anything, I think we need it now more than ever. We're not just brains walking around in bodies -- there’s a spiritual side to being human, and a lot of people feel disconnected from that. In our modern society, it feels like that part of life has atrophied. When we lose that connection, we see more addiction, more anxiety, more people feeling lost or numb or like none of this means anything. Our culture feels a mile wide but an inch deep. There's a lot of talk about success, image, power -- and not much about meaning, values, or community. At one extreme, people give up and check out. At the other, they try to control everything and everyone around them. Meanwhile, things like a stable family life, the stuff that helps people grow and stay grounded, are getting harder to come by. The 12 steps give people a way to reconnect. not just spiritually, but with themselves and with others. It’s a simple framework that helps people take responsibility, let go of what they can’t control, and live more honestly. That’s not outdated, that’s timeless.

No. Sponsors in a 12-step program have one obligation to those they sponsor: to work that person through the 12-steps of recovery. Ethical boundaries prohibit peer specialists from doing step-work with those they professionally serve, and a "paid sponsor" would be frowned upon in 12-step culture. Peer Specialists are professionally trained to help people to get engaged in the organic recovery community, temporarily walk with the person to make sure they have their feet under them, and then step away so the person can be fully immersed in that organic recovery community.

Because people often don't realize the most valuable commodity they have isn't money -- it's time. Human beings don't really feel the weight of that until it's "too late." We do tend to feel the weight of spending money, so we're often more motivated to actually work on that thing if we're financially invested. If you've tried recovery before (and especially 12-step recovery) and found it wanting, perhaps it was because you didn't have a professional to help you figure out specifics of why you didn't acclimate to that recovery community. In order to do that, you need a professional who didn't just learn about recovery out of a textbook (not to disparage clinical staff), but also has enough nuance, discernment, and experience to help guide, be a confidant, and educate when necessary.
