About Me

Recovery Est. 2007

My name is Nick Yacoub, and I’ve been in long-term recovery from substance use challenges since 2007. What matters most to me today is staying grounded in my faith, being present for my family, and staying active in my 12-step community -- the pillars that continue to shape my life and recovery.

Helping Others Since 2013

Since 2013, I've dedicated my professional life to helping others find their own path to recovery. I've worked across nearly every environment imaginable -- detox centers, treatment programs, hospitals, correctional facilities, and retreats -- serving alongside local governments, non-profits, and private organizations. Through these experiences, I've learned that recovery is never one-size-fits-all, and my passion is providing the support, structure, and encouragement that help people build strong, lasting foundations for their own journey.

My role is simple: to walk beside you, offering real-world solutions and peer support as you build your next chapter in recovery.

My Mission:

To provide practical, compassionate support that strengthens the recovery journey -- offering accountability, guidance, and everyday solutions that empower individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope.

My Vision:

To create a community where every person in recovery has access to the resources, relationships, and real-world support they need to thrive beyond sobriety and live a fulfilling, connected life.

Why This Work Matters

Recovery is more than breaking free from substances -- it's about rebuilding trust, restoring hope, and creating a life worth living. I started Old Dominion Recovery, because I know the challenges don't end when treatment does. That's where our work begins -- together!

Every day, people in recovery face real-world obstacles: rebuilding relationships, staying accountable, and managing the responsibilities of daily life. Without the right support, even the strongest commitment to sobriety can feel overwhelming.

This work matters because no one should have to walk that road alone. I provide practical solutions, compassionate guidance, and peer support that bridge the gap between treatment and long-term recovery -- so every individual has the tools and confidence to build their next chapter.
